Katie Rock

Water Quality in Public Policy and Government

Waterways connect us all, and Iowa is a land of abundant waters, interweaving folks from all backgrounds and walks of life. Perhaps no one knows that better than Katie Rock – from her river roots being raised near Muscatine, to her education as an agronomist focused on plant breeding, to being elected as a Polk Co. Soil and Water Conservation District commissioner, representing Iowa’s largest urban center. Katie is passionate about Iowans building a strong connection, sense of place, and identity with their local communities, nurtured by spending time out in nature connecting with the beautiful land and water resources our state has to offer.
